China Commemorates 20 Year Anniversary of Taking Control of Hong Kong

Hong Kong was a British colony and then dependent territory before being handed over to China.

Xi visited the city to mark the day, and was paraded in front of a large Chinese military assembly, a show of force against the pro-independence groups still strong in Hong Kong.
